• Movie 1 - Movie 1: This movie shows activity of neurons from layers throughout the network during spontaneous and evoked activity. This corresponds to a segment of the activity shown in Figure 3. Each box is a topographic view of the membrane potential of 1600 model neurons for each millisecond. The layers of the model are Tp = Dorsal thalamus; Rp = Reticular nucleus; L5-6 = Infragranular layer; L4 = Layer IV; L2-3 = Supragranular layer. Spikes are indicated by red dots. Dark blue indicates hyperpolarization, yellow and red indicate depolarization.
• Movie 2 - Movie 2: This movie shows activity of neurons from layers throughout the network during the transition from the waking mode to the sleep mode. This corresponds to a segment of the activity shown in Figure 4. Each box is a topographic view of the membrane potential of 1600 model neurons for each millisecond.
