On reviewing the raw data used for this article, we find that, because a conversion factor was applied incorrectly, the absolute amounts of seaweed eaten by the animals in this study were understated by a factor of 2.6. This does not affect any of the statistical analyses or conclusions of the article. However, throughout the article, wherever lengths of seaweed strip eaten are given in centimeters (except for the actual traces of seaweed strip movement in Figs. 1, 2, 7, and 9), these should be systematically multiplied by 2.6.
