CORRIGENDUM

Volume 80: August 1998

Pages 762-770: K. H. Britten and W. T. Newsome, "Tuning Bandwidths for Near-Threshold Stimuli in Area MT." The authors wish to correct a minor mathematical error.

  Directional tuning data were fit with Gaussian functions in which the x-axis was rescaled by a factor of <RAD><RCD>2 </RCD></RAD>. Thus the reported values for the bandwidth parameter, sigma , were 41% larger than standard notation would have indicated. This error does not affect the main results of the paper.
