Cover: The marine mollusk Clione generates a complex motion trajectory in search of its prey Limacina. In the picture the Clione has successfully captured the Limacina, whose shell can be seen between the tentacles. The traces in the bottom show the motor output during “fictive search” recorded from isolated nervous system. On the top left is a model network of the gravimetric organ that controls the orientation of Clione and generates a complex spatio-temporal pattern that is used for the search behavior during hunting. From: Levi R, Varona P, Arshavsky YI, Rabinovich MI, and Selverston AI. Dual sensory-motor function for a molluskan statocyst network. J Neurophysiol. 91: 336–345, 2004. First published September 24, 2003; 10.1152/jn.00753.2003.36
