Cover: Drosophila melanogaster with lighting from below, demonstrating simultaneous intracellular recordings from a fiber of the right tergotrochanteral muscle (TTM) and from fiber no. 6 of the dorsal longitudinal flight muscle (DLM). Note that the TTM becomes illuminated with ventral lighting, while the DLM becomes opaque, allowing the experimenter to insert the recording electrodes into a single muscle fiber with great precision. From: Koenig JH and Ikeda K. Relationship of the reserve vesicle population to synaptic depression in the tergotrochanteral and dorsal longitudinal muscles of Drosophila.
